How-to guide
How to separate drums from a song on Android
DrumSplit works in Chrome on any Android device — no app to install. Upload an audio file from your file manager, Downloads folder or cloud storage, and get 6 separated drum stems back.
DrumSplit runs entirely in the browser. Processing happens on our cloud GPUs, so any Android phone works — you do not need a flagship device.
Step-by-step
- Open drumsplit.io in Chrome. Works on any Android device. Firefox and Samsung Internet also work.
- Tap the upload area. Navigate to your audio file using the file picker. MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AIFF and OGG are all supported.
- Choose your mode. Natural, Puncher or Direct depending on the content.
- Pay $0.99. Google Pay works in Chrome for fast checkout. Card payment is also available.
- Wait 2-3 minutes and download. The stems zip downloads to your Downloads folder. Use a file manager to extract the 6 WAV files.
Tips for better results
- Most Android music players store files in Music or Downloads — check both when looking for your source file.
- The downloaded WAV stems work in any Android DAW or audio editor.
- For files stored in Google Drive or Dropbox, you can download them first or share directly to the browser.
